A picture of Sanctuary brings more affordable homes to West Bromwich

Sanctuary is getting ready to welcome more residents as the first half of its affordable housing development in West Bromwich is completed.

Sanctuary Homes is working in partnership with Woodbourne Group to develop Canalside, which will provide 70 much-needed new homes for affordable rent.

The first residents moved into their new homes on the former brownfield industrial site in January and the next phase of homes will be ready for more families over the coming weeks.

The £10.8 million scheme, part funded by Homes England, comprises 17 two-bedroom apartments and 53 one, two and three-bedroom dwellings.

Construction work, carried out by Taylor French Developments, is due to be completed in October.

Catherine Davies, Sanctuary’s Project Manager – Development, said: “This is an eye-catching development consisting of two and three-storey town houses and apartment blocks. The combination of buff and black brick and rendered panels, creates a contemporary feel.

“The modern design of Canalside provides a new landmark in West Bromwich, and we hope that residents will be proud to live in their new surroundings for many years.”
